The funding was given to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and was earmarked for promoting prevention and increasing access to treatment by funding state initiatives like The Michigan Automated Prescription System, medication assisted treatment, improving the availability of Naloxone, development of a statewide awareness program, and collaboration with university partners on reentry, evaluation, and research opportunities.
