Testimonials

Almost 7 months ago I traveled across the country to Safe & Sound treatment, leaving behind my entire (unmanageable) life and I haven't looked back since. I came here broken and desperate. The owners Mary and Rob took a chance and invited me into their Safe & Sound family, without even knowing who I was. The entire staff here made me remember that I am capable of being loved, that I'm not alone, and that God has a MUCH much bigger plan for me. I worked weekly with my amazing therapist Erin, she helped me work through a lot of my trauma. I also met once a week with my super cool Case Manager, Patrick, constantly setting new goals and dreams for myself. I've been to alot of programs, and none were quite like this. After 90 days I successfully graduated Safe & Sound Treatment and then was given the amazing opportunity to be a House Manager for the women's sober living by Mary, Rob, Danny, and the lovely Miss Cheryl. I'm beyond grateful for all of these beautiful people. Safe & Sound Treatment has given me a life beyond my wildest dreams.

When I first came here I was miserable with what my life had become. I didn’t know how to stay sober and never wanted to be sober. But through my time at Safe & Sound Treatment, I have learned to love myself and love life. I began to see the endless opportunities that have come my way and the family that I’ve gained through Safe & Sound Treatment. I am truly blessed that I had the chance to be put into this program and be around some of the best people I’ve ever met. I couldn’t be more grateful for what the group has done for me and my life has turned around for the better.”

Safe & Sound Treatment saved my life! When I arrived at Safe & Sound Treatment I was full of fear, shame, and remorse. I did not want to be there and was skeptical about whether treatment could help me because I had been to treatment in the past and relapsed soon after leaving. When I was admitted into the program, the staff listened to my concerns, shared some of their experiences, and put me at ease while I started my journey towards recovery. I don’t think a larger rehab setting would have worked for me. The personalization of care I received from the staff at Safe & Sound Treatment made my early sobriety bearable. I learned how to have fun and enjoy life without drugs and alcohol. This was something that I didn’t think was possible. The team at Safe & Sound Treatment has become part of my family, and to this day I cannot imagine my life without them!

Because of Safe and Sound Treatment, I am no longer ashamed of who I am and what I have gone through. I have never had so much confidence in myself than I do now. My first day, I was welcomed with the open arms that I now call my family. I was treated with only kindness and understanding, and it only got better from there. With going to groups every weekday, I got to learn and grow in a way that I could only imagine. I made true friends, I learned about myself and a new way of thinking. I learned how to process my thoughts and how to let things go. I felt a true connection, an understanding between broken souls. I watched how my family grew and found a new love within themselves. On weekends, we would gather as a group for Family Dinner and some fun on the beach. This only strengthened our bond as a new family struggling within ourselves. We had fun. We struggled. We laughed. We cried. We learned. We grew. We grew stronger as a group and we grew stronger individually. I am now living in sobriety. I have a job that I could only dream of. I have started college and have a 4.0. Something I’ve never had. I have the confidence I need to do whatever I want with my life. I have fun. I paint. I skateboard. I paddleboard. I hike. I live in peace with a connection to my higher power. A higher power that I didn’t know existed. I feel completely balanced. With the help of Safe and Sound Treatment, and the family I will never forget, I am living a life that I could never have dreamed of. I could not ask for anything more of a treatment center. I have my life back!

My experience with Safe & Sound Treatment has been completely life-changing. I have a new family and actually enjoy my days without drugs and alcohol. I have been in and out of treatment centers over the last 15 years trying to find a “cure” for my alcoholism. I have destroyed every facet of my life, taking down others in my path. I lived a depressed, chaotic lifestyle turning to alcohol as the answer to all my problems. Over the course of being an alcoholic, I managed to lose my license for life, my house, all property, my career, a wonderful girlfriend, and myself. I had nothing. I broke down, got on my knees, and asked for help, not knowing at the time I was asking God for help. When a man reaches that point of complete helplessness it's an unexplainable feeling to truly ask for help. A friend reached out a friend, who reached out to Safe & Sound Treatment, and Mary, the owner, invited me to join the family. Under one condition, that I truly wanted to be sober. I didn't ask any questions, got on a plane that same day, truly willing not to live the life I had been living. Safe & Sound introduced me to A.A and the 12 steps, which created an unbreakable bond with the fellowship. Because of Safe & Sound Treatment, I love recovery. It's possible. even for the most seemingly helpless of us. I love the staff, my new family in recovery, the facilities are top-notch and they really care about you. If you can be honest with yourself you can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.
