About Harbor Oaks Hospital

Harbor Oaks Hospital offers integrated mental health services and rehabilitation for substance use disorders for adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our family is here to care for your loved ones in a way that lets them retain their dignity and make a lasting difference in their lives. Our treatment philosophy comes from our experience as profession; that mental illness and chemical dependency are treatable diseases. We also acknowledge that mental health conditions and substance use disorders are often tied together. That is why our treatment programs are individualized and designed to treat the whole person, not just their symptoms.

Located in New Baltimore, Michigan, Harbor Oaks Hospital does everything in our power to truly heal everyone entrusted into our care. To accomplish that goal, we have chosen to treat each individual with a holistic approach. Along with that, we strive to show respect and empathy to every patient, provide culturally competent services, recognize the importance of family and peers in the process of someone’s recovery, and remain dedicated to evidence-based treatment and best practices for every case.

Harbor Oaks understands that people who suffer from some form of behavioral disorder may turn to self-medication. As this develops, the person can soon become dependent on whatever substance they’ve found solace in and create a greater issue. Substance use disorders amplify the negative behavioral patterns and could make recovering more difficult the longer it goes on.

At Harbor Oaks Hospital, we strive to be the preferred provider of behavioral healthcare services in Southeastern Michigan and beyond. We aim to accomplish this goal by treating as many people as we can as if they were a member of our own family. We understand how hard it is to send any member of your family, no matter how old they are, to a treatment facility. So please, before you make any decision, feel free to call us 24/7 for a free consultation. We can help you figure out if we are the right fit for your situation.

Testimonials

My son suffers from Severe Autism, Sensory Processing disorder and is non verbal. He was admitted into Harbor Oaks children's inpatient unit. He stayed for twelve days. I have nothing but nice things to say about this facility and the nurses who took care of my son. They took the time to speak with me whenever I called, which was usually 3 times a day every day. They told me I could call and check on him as often as I liked.

I went there for alcohol addiction, I thought it was a top notch facility. It was clean, the food was great, the staff and programs were excellent. I came out of there a better person.

I was here for detox from alcohol. Dorthy was very helpful and took care of everything before I got there. She greeted me at the door when I arrived and was then taken care of by very nice folks. I was here for 28 days and my experience was awakening. Melissa and James treated me like family and are the best nurses I met. Duane is really fun and he motivates you to stay. Thank you Harbor Oaks!

I have just received treatment and they were very helpful and made me a better person for my experience. I have to say thank you to all the staff and patients. Truly thank you.

I was in here for depression and think this is a great facility. The staff was really nice and always asked how I was. I liked the structure especially the group therapy. It was good to listen to other people that were having problems and know I am not alone. I learned coping skills to help when I’m not doing well and I found journaling helped me a lot. I can’t say enough about the caring staff and how much better I am doing since my stay. If someone is struggling and needs help this is a good place to go
